Still floating in Moscow

I Keep hearing that a visit in this country must happen in the summer but in the real cold times is where some kind of secret arises beneath the frozen ice, is the warm “borsch” soup with beetroots, potatoes, vegetables and beans and many amazingly soviet dishes that make you so warm that you appreciate the cold and snow, is the traditional “banya” with temperatures that can reach 100celcius!

Those “banyas” are everywhere, before you go make sure you get with you some important items, usually you can find them there and it makes it easier, but if you can get an extra towel with you to have it for the end will be much better. My first herb hitting and cold dives into icy water after the steam room was in Leningrad, or Saint Petersburg. In the same rooms where dostohievsky and Lenin where bathing! If you are interesting of that banya, let me know i pass some more info.

Spending lovely time in that dimension that we called Moscow, and most probably after you rub the lucky dogs nose in the revolution square station,

the most famous metro statue, which brings luck! Try something extraordinary, visit “Embryo” – the first Floating Center in Russia   to experience new sensations of relaxation and imponderability.

Inside the warm water, always the same temperature as our body, i recalled my days in 2006 when i first visit Mexico for learning and receiving biomagnetismo. Back in those days i could easily understand from the therapy progress how a thought or feeling has impact, changing the ph of our body and how this acid or alkalic environment of the blood affects after all…the same quite happens while you are floating in the water..any tiny or long thought, make you move into the water, you can feel it! Staying one hour in darkness and silence while you floating, is like you are in your nature, back in mothers womb. See the site for more info http://embryo-float.ru/eng/

Moscow wont disappoint you, and as i said before if you have a good guide! Tatiana and her friends make me feel like home, and beside the noise of the ice when it cracks and the white scenery, i did felt that there is a connection. In the city are many exhibitions, museums, clubs and loads that happening such free diving competition, vintage markets, kremlins and old cathethrals. And…Good photographes have risen from here..so..the “best of russian” photography exhibition is a must and another couple of hours to spend !

Moscow, the flame in our hearts.

They say one image a thousand words, I haven’t though lately hear that photos can not transfer the smell of the melting ice, the sound of the river while is just making its way downwards, the beautiful and at the same time heavy accent of the northern living people, the sour taste of any vegetable you can imagine, the smiles and the voices from the kids while playing, roller coasting, or when they slide down a hill in a huge park or even the heating  of those flames where they never turn their back away, they always burn for the remembrance of those who died and continuously die for their own beliefs, regards political or ethnical reason..

I might be here right now travelling from Moscow to Saint Petersburg but some of the feelings that are expressed here are also associated from previous traveling-living experiences and are remembered and Re-written here so I can share what I view, object seeing, with my own way, just simple to do my part.

Life circumstances and especially the cold and hot climate should not have such effect, power on us. Through my words I try to make someone to feel present in the particular moment’s, where and what I see right here and right now, thank you all of the private messages of compassion. Although that compassion should go all around us, and towards us in first place, so feel free to write a comment, a review, a reply regards your feeling or your idea, below here in the post, I will be better for others to see. Also, if you have some time read through older posts under the category “words” to help me express my self better through your understanding.

So…

First words I typed for this layover in Moscow was about that expensive fine ticket I received from police officers the third day driving in the city (this ticket, which I believe that money never going to the main desk remind me I lot of a crazy corrupted story I have to write once from Laos, Asia).Police here are very strict and they are in general very controlling, be nice with them, and don’t even drink kefir before you seat in the driver’s seat.

This place is well-known for its monitoring and they want to know everything about you, soon as you land, you should register your stay in a police station or much easier fill the form and send it through a post office, (try to avoid contact with them if you are visiting Saint Petersburg and you haven’t made another registration! Yes, ! Is different then Moscow!) Make sure each time you visit a government office to be ahead on time, they liked to be working in a relaxed mode, and don’t arrive the last minutes.

Must do in Moscow?

Well for my own limited time what I did and recommended to you is: Have a walk everywhere! Theatres, Cathedrals and famous bridges, quiet villages near everywhere and great warm dishes.. The kremlin is so incredible and when you go across the red square you will love the moment that you came to this country!Consider value at Tsum shopping center! Lenin was sleeping and I was not able to have a meeting with him.. (Actually the mausoleum was under construction and I could not go)

I manage though and you should also try to adore the ballet and play ”Swan Lake” from Tchaikovsky at the: http://www.novayaopera.ru/ purchase tickets however one month before your visit, you will have fantastic time! The performance lasts for 3 hours and every hour you have a short break, have a soft drink or coffee at that intermission, or perhaps a champagne with Caviar?

Russia at a glance!

DSCN0244

I should keep writing and don’t leave it aside because i sense that this journey takes me back home, actually when a circle of travel closes, is where the good events are happening, and a new start begins. All we know that the reward comes in the end, although a TIP should be given at the beginning of the service, which means: To Improve Performance, in a better way!
Keeping though the spirit high, and the mind focus that the Ithaca might be found poor at the end gives me strength and power to continue and never focus at the end, only at the times that each journey lasts, on each day of a week, each moment of a day.
In this world are some countries like India for example, where when i visited i start to like her and enjoy my days, later during the hard times that any normal human will occur in this motherland… i begin hating her…then i reflect the same feeling again and again.. Remembered also that i regretted at one point that i came in her way…. later of course.. I mean, at the same time! ..I love her, respect and understand her so much and dreaming of getting back in her warmth arms!

Anyways… being here in Russia i see again that..

Emotions are frequently like that, running like the river, and such places, destinations away from your own time daily schedule, mind patterns and square happits, surely can make you feel differently.
Maybe at some point you will feel something similar with new travels, places, experiences.
Mama Russia and particular Moscow made me emotional many times, were days i did not know where and how to fit my self into such new world and wonder about my decision to visit during its cold times, where the snow was so strong that barely can see the horizon, and as the people say for that storms: the “sky is low today”.

Lighting red love hearts, hanging from the walls leading to underground shops around the historical town, expensive cars creating traffic during most times, strong wind makes your lift you jacket up to your nose and mostly look downwards while you increasing your pace and waiting for that great moment you will enter the best metros ( similar as museum ) in the world! Cold, cold, cold and I have been told that is spring now!

Being hungry and looking for a place to eat that you don’t have to spend 25-30euros for a meal that won’t make you feel full, is not eventually that hard, Moscow is expensive but definitely you can find what suits you if you have a good guide! Or the patience to discover it your own, while not many people answer questions, and English are not enough dwell into their life.

Strange feelings passing through me and I come to realize that most important of this country its those unique people, they strong core that connects them (i feel), they will look strangely at you, they will observe you smart enough, they won’t easily greet and they will keep their silence as their nature does during its long winter.

I heard the other day in the radio station that is the third country in the world that has xenophobia, and that made me recall my own experiences with the people I met here.
Certainly I met great people, and soon as they get to know you they love you and they open their heart, but remember those northern people are hard to crack! Also felt tired sometimes to be my self, felt no normal, a Mediterranean cheerful character, is just feels that is so cold for that!
